Review of Heart Eyes: A Gory Misfire of Horror and Romance
The pacing is rapid and steady, with no dull periods, and each scene feels vital to the unfolding thriller narrative; the film's tone is scary yet hilarious, keeping things interesting with unexpected turns. The images are compelling, evocative of "SAW" but with a current lighter touch; the casting is strong, the jokes are topical, and the film appeals to both younger and older audiences. While the anti-heroes' past should have been explored more, the film nonetheless comes to a satisfactory conclusion by the end, but certain narrative gaps may keep viewers guessing. Heart Eyes Flixtor is ideal for Valentine's Day watching and a must-see for anybody searching for a unique take on the horror thriller genre with a comic twist.
